Charity Knitting at StevenBe's

We had 25 knitters at our charity knitting event at StevenBe's Yarn Garage in South Minneapolis on Friday--what fun! Hats are already being turned in for our project, UU knitters came from all over the country for GA and stopped in to knit with us, and the food was incredible! Thanks, everyone, for helping us kick-off Hats for the Homeless 2010 with such a big shebang!

  1. I was there, from Longmont, Colorado for GA. What fun, and what a unique and special LYS!

I made three hats at GA for the drive - one blue watchcap (contributed at StevenBes) a maroon tam left for Donna at the GA volunteers, and a second blue watchcap that is in the mail. I'm happy to help warm folks on those cold Minnesota streets this winter.

  2. Using your talent in knitting for helping is good. It will be a huge help for the homeless charity of your choice.

  3. Looks like you guys are having fun, huh? I wish I was there, too! Since I was a kid, my grandmother would teach me how to knit hats and purses. Now, I'm kinda addicted to knitting. I knit almost everyday or whenever I'm not that busy. My favorite piece is my bag made of brown sheep yarn. Ahh! They look so adorable and so classy!
